Caps: How To Get The Perfect Fit

Caps: How To Get The Perfect Fit

Mar 31st 2020

Have you almost purchased a cap but were unsure what size would fit your head? At Comeaux Caps, we understand that shopping online for things like welding caps isn’t always an easy task. Sometimes your cap can be too large and sometimes it’s too tight. Comfort is key, especially for something you may be wearing all day. That’s why we hope our guide will help ensure you get your perfect fit.

Measuring Our Caps

With Comeaux Caps, purchasing a cap with the perfect fit is as easy as measuring your head! Comeaux Caps has a unique way of measuring our caps. You should consider measuring your head before ordering even if you know your usual cap size. A common misconception is your welding cap size is the same size you would wear in a baseball hat. That is incorrect when it comes to finding your true welding cap size. Sometimes cap size charts can vary so measuring is very important. Here’s how to measure your head:

To measure the circumference of your head:

Be sure to have the fabric tape measure where you would like the band of the cap to lay.

  • Start at the center of the forehead
  • Around to the nape of the neck
  • Back to the center of the forehead

Finally, please refer to the sizing chart for the most accurate fit.

Customer Service

We pride ourselves on customer service and always make great strides to create a positive experience, such as our return policy. We understand that even with measuring, your cap may not fit exactly how you want it to. At Comeaux Caps, you may send cap(s) back unwashed with tags still attached and we will do an even swap for another cap(s) to ensure customer satisfaction.

Take it from our customers:

“I have been wearing Comeaux welding caps since the 90's. There is not a better cap on the market.”

“These things are way cool. Well made, fit perfectly under a bicycle helmet. I even wear them under my motorcycle helmet...”
